In 1968, the Faculty of Fine Arts witnessed a theatrical revolution as Sadegh Hatefi masterfully reimagined Sadegh Hedayat's "The Case Beneath the Bush," captivating audiences and earning unparalleled acclaim. Despite facing political challenges in Iran, Hatefi's indomitable spirit led him to establish the National Theater Group of Iran with the talented Manijeh Golchin, whose brilliance had previously shone at the Nice Dance Festival in France. Their collaborations, deeply rooted in the tales of Shahnameh, transcended borders, resonating from Iran to Europe. Forced to seek refuge due to political repression, Hatefi's resilience birthed the Owrang Institute of Arts and Culture in Sacramento, standing today as a beacon of artistic excellence and cultural preservation.
